306lbs Uar Bernard With Only 6% Body Fat Leaves the Internet Amazed During NFL Scouting

A new name is turning heads at the NFL's HBCU showcase. Nigerian prospect Uar Bernard is posting unbelievable numbers for a defensive tackle. His performance at 306 pounds with just 6% body fat has scouts and fans buzzing.
At the 2026 NFL HBCU showcase, the defensive tackle prospect turned heads despite having no prior NFL experience. His stats were so impressive that scouts and coaches began seriously considering him as a potential draft prospect.
Bernard stood 6ft 4in tall, weighing 306 lbs, but the stats that impressed everyone were his 11" hands, nearly 36" arms, and 6% body fat. These statistics helped him set a vertical jump record of 39", a broad jump of 10-10 (14" more than any other defensive tackle this year), and a 40-yard dash of 4.63 seconds.
Before beginning training for the draft on Jan 18, he weighed 295 lbs and had 11% body fat. His initial vertical jump record stood at 32, and his broad-jump record was 9-4. But now his chances look really good for the draft to be held on April 23.
The 21-year-old comes from a small village in Nigeria and is part of the NFL's International Player Pathway (IPP) program. He joined the IPP after playing for different football camps in Nigeria and now stands a chance to be in line for a Day 3 selection. He even has an unbelievable unofficial Relative Athletic Score of 10.00.
His stats didn't just manage to impress the scouts; the internet is also left speechless.
Internet Reaction to Uar Bernard’s Unmatched Skills
As soon as he reached the depths of the internet, he became a viral hit. He was even compared to another IPP prodigy, Australian Jordan Mailata.
A user commented, "I witnessed him, bro, he a beast dawg, can’t lie."
Two users even tried to predict his NFL future; one wrote, "future eagle," and another one wrote, "Lions salivating rn."
Some fans were in disbelief and wrote, "4.63 at 300 WHAAAAAAAAT!?"
One user even tried to clarify his stats for everyone to understand, "To put this in a perspective, Aaron Donald ran a 4.68 yard dash at 285 lbs…this guy is 20 lbs bigger and .05 seconds faster."
But there are still some skeptics who wrote, "If you told me 250 [lbs] I’d buy it. I’ve never seen 300+ look lean in my life."
Trainer Jordan Luallen also couldn't stop himself from commenting on Bernard, “Hands down, he is the most explosive athlete I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Quarterback coach George Whitfield commented, “It's like watching Victor Wembanyama. The numbers don’t even do him justice.”
