41-year-old Lewis Hamilton shows intense workout drills behind a toned physique

The F1 season might be on pause right now, but the F1 legend Lewis Hamilton isn't taking any breaks in working out. His latest video testifies to his dedication to exercising.

On April 22, Lewis Hamilton shared a workout video of himself on Instagram, and it was intense. The video, captioned "Always pushing," featured the seven-time Formula 1 Drivers' champion using an ab roller and performing different intense exercises.

In the video, he looked visibly tense while performing each set, showing his dedication to fitness. If the video is any indication, then it looks like 'Luigi' is ready to win that podium for Ferrari in Miami next month.

The Formula 1 season was on pause for April, and will resume operations in May, but that doesn't mean the Ferrari driver is slacking off. He has been training continuously, and the evidence is all over Instagram.

And now with his training video, he seems to be chasing more victories this season. The video even got a shout-out from American Alpine ski racer, Lindsey Vonn, who commented 'LFG' with a bicep-flex emoji.

Besides spending time in the gym, the 41-year-old has been keeping himself fit by learning new skills. Just last month, he was seen learning sword fighting from the legendary Samurai Tetsuro Shimaguchi. He is the same artist who choreographed the iconic sword-fighting scenes from the movie Kill Bill.

Last year, as well, Hamilton shared pictures of himself training in the gym, lifting weights, and doing exercises. And all this is proof that he may be in his forties, but he is as fit and healthy as any of his younger competitors.

Lewis Hamilton's training and dietary habits

Lewis Hamilton may not be 20 anymore, but he still takes his training routines seriously. Over the years, his training routines have changed considerably.

Hamilton told Men's Health magazine, "When I was younger, I think the training was really my therapy – and it still kind of is, particularly the runs. That’s where I get most of my thinking done."

His training routine involves HIIT, weightlifting, and resistance training, especially for the neck. Besides that, Hamilton has added ice baths, yoga, meditation, pilates, stretching, and breathwork to his routine.

Also, recovery and sleep are important for him. He makes sure to find a good balance between his diet, sleep, and his physical activities.

Besides all that, the one thing that Hamilton believes keeps him in the right mindset is positive affirmations. He starts his day with them and ensures to keep that attitude going throughout the day.

According to the champion, "When you speak positively about yourself, your body reacts to that."

So, are you thinking about building a Lewis Hamilton-esque dedication to working out?
