“All the Muscles Stripped Away”- Ronnie Coleman’s Reality and Current Situation Gets Highlighted by Former Rival Kevin Levrone

Just a few weeks ago, Kevin Levrone sat down with Mike Thruston of the First Things Thrst podcast, talking about everything from his career to mental health to his bodybuilding career.
During the conversation, the 4x Mr Olympia runner-up revealed the truth about his former rival, Ronnie Coleman.
“He never complains. Yeah, you know, and he’s still going. It’s still going. It’s still going. And you know, it’s what he’s derived from that drives him. He’s one of a kind. When all the muscle is stripped away, we really see the human being and what’s driving Ronnie Coleman,” said Levrone.

The bodybuilding community already knows how much Coleman has suffered in the last few years. He has undergone 13 surgeries, including back-to-back hip replacement procedures, and now has metal rods, screws, and plates implanted in multiple parts of his spine, among other complications.
More recently, Coleman battled a severe case of sepsis, a life-threatening condition that nearly took his life. However, despite these setbacks, he has never shied away from workouts or interacting with fans.
He further added, “That is the beauty of Ronnie Coleman. He’s just a beautiful human being. Now, with all the muscle stripped away, he’s still that beautiful spirit, never complaining about anything,”
And Ronnie Coleman proved that with his claim about competing
Speaking with former strongman Eddie Hall on The Good, The Bad & The Beast podcast, Coleman was asked by the hosts how he would perform against modern-era bodybuilders—and his answer was everything.
“I’d do amazing. Easily. I don’t think I’d have to train as hard or diet as hard. I’d probably diet five days a week,” said Coleman.
At the moment, Chris Bumstead, Hadi Choopan, and Derek Lunsford stand at the pinnacle of modern bodybuilding. Choopan owns a single Mr. Olympia title, Lunsford has clinched three non-consecutive titles, and finally, Bumstead reigns supreme among them with six consecutive titles.
And Coleman? “The King” captured eight consecutive titles, all during the golden age of bodybuilding, against the likes of Jay Cutler.
