Anthony Joshua trains for upcoming boxing comeback
An Instagram video posted by Ring Magazine features two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, preparing for his boxing comeback against Kristian Prenga on July 25. The bout, titled “The Comeback”, will serve as an important step in his career.
Joshua is preparing intensely for “The Comeback” to be held in Saudi Arabia. In the video, captioned;

He can be seen working hard on a double-end bag drill to help sharpen his reflexes and technique.
The boxing drills help enhance his defensive reactions, hand-eye coordination, and maintain balance while moving around his target.
Joshua’s comeback is expected to be a crucial step in gaining back lost momentum from his defeat against Daniel Dubois in September 2024. He suffered a fifth-round knockout loss to Dubois following repeated knockdowns and his failure to recover from a decisive right hand.
Even though he won against Jake Paul in December of 2025, his title aspirations were not helped by it.
By winning against Prenga, it would cement his place as a top contender for the heavyweight title.
All eyes are on Joshua as he returns to boxing after a 22-month hiatus.
Joshua Feels Confident Going Into His July 25 Fight
Anthony Joshua has been away from boxing. He says he is coming back stronger than ever.
The two-time heavyweight champion makes his return to the ring on July 25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, facing Albanian heavyweight Kristian Prenga in what serves as the final warm-up before his long-anticipated showdown with Tyson Fury.
Seven months will have passed since his December 2025 victory over Jake Paul by the time fight night arrives. And Joshua, speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, made clear the time away has sharpened rather than softened him.
"I'm building myself up to be stronger than I've ever been because I know I am — not only physically, because that's natural, but mentally," Joshua said. "I've realised I'm a lot stronger than I ever thought I was."
Moreover, Joshua pointed to the training camp itself as the real source of his confidence heading into July 25. However, Joshua was careful not to overlook Prenga. And with Fury waiting on the other side, he cannot afford to.
