Arnold Schwarzenegger and his longtime partner Heather Milligan have kept their relationship generally private. But in a rare sighting, the couple was spotted at the Austrian World Summit in Vienna for the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative.

The event was also attended by former Vice President Kamala Harris and Austria's president, Alexander Van der Bellen. Pollution, sustainability, and climate leadership's next generation were some of the topics discussed.

It was also a platform for policymakers, innovators, and experts to come together and debate solutions. Speaking of the couple, Schwarzenegger and Milligan met back in 2012 after his shoulder surgery and instantly hit it off.

"So I went to her, and then after my therapy was finished, after I was finished with the movie, I called her back and took her out for lunch to say thank you. And then one thing led to the next," Schwarzenegger recalled the initial stages of their relationship with People magazine in 2023.

Funnily, Milligan was Schwarzenegger’s physical therapist and played a massive role in his recovery ahead of the film Escape Plan. After completing his rehabilitation program, he took her out for a thank-you lunch, which subsequently led to their relationship blossoming.

"We have so many things in common," he had said. "I think the world of her. I love that she's into working. She's clearly independent. She just is driven as hell."

Though the couple is rarely sighted together, let's take a look at some of their notable appearances in the past.

Milligan prefers to be private, rarely appearing beside Schwarzenegger in public appearances. However, she was spotted attending the Raising Hope for Climate Justice Press Conference in Vatican City in September 2025.

Back in 2023, fans spotted the couple on the red carpet during the season 2 premiere of FUBAR in Los Angeles. Much to everyone's delight, she also joined his family in September 2022 for Oktoberfest in Munich.
