Arnold Schwarzenegger knows well how to transition from one career to another and achieve equal success in the new one, too.

So, you may wonder how he can do that. Well, the 7-time Mr. Olympia himself revealed that during his appearance on the Howard Stern show, when the host asked Schwarzenegger, “How do you start up a career again in movies after your political career?”

In response to the June 13 YouTube video, Schwarzenegger was seen saying, “Well, it's very hard because now you have p***** off 50% of the people…. I said you have to start out again at the bottom.

You don't go and assume, okay, now I'm going to step in and just do this thing because I like to do it. You have to bring along the people because, remember, show business is like politics. You need the people in order to be successful.”

According to the Austrian Oak, it's a step-by-step process.

Despite a successful acting career and films like Terminator, Schwarzenegger partially halted his acting career and focused on his political career in California.

He served as the governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

During that time, he did not appear in any major projects or in a leading role. However, he appeared in some small projects, including a 3-second cameo in 2003’s The Rundown, voicing Baron von Steuben in the Liberty's Kids episode Valley Forge, and a cameo in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables in 2010.

He left the office of governor in January 2011, and in a few weeks, he announced his comeback in Hollywood.

In 2012, Schwarzenegger appeared in The Expendables 2 as Trench Mauser. In 2013, the Austrian Oak’s movie, The Last Stand, was released. It was his first movie in a leading role in 10 years.

Now, the question is, does he ever see himself retiring?

Schwarzenegger never stops working hard. From bodybuilding to movies and acting, he has excelled in all.

So, when the host asked Schwarzenegger, “Do you ever see yourself retiring?”, the Austrian Oak said,

“I live off this pressure. It makes me tick. I love pressure. I love risks. I love when people say it can't be done or it's difficult, you know.”

However, pressure brings stress, and Schwarzenegger has his own way of managing it.

In the April 2022 edition of his newsletter, Arnold Pump, answering a fan's question about how the bodybuilding legend handles stress, Schwarzenegger said,

“I focus on one thing at a time. For instance, while I am writing this newsletter, my friends showed up to start reading my TV scripts and go on a bike ride. I told them to please go to the other room and play chess. I don’t want to be thinking about going to the gym on our bikes or rehearsing my scripts.

I am thinking about my newsletter right now, and that’s it, and that’s all. Then I will go on a bike ride to the gym, and I won’t think about all of you. Then I will rehearse, and I won’t think about the gym.”
