Wesley Vissers just won the 2026 Arnold Classic. His biggest prize, however, might have been the post-show interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. The bodybuilding legend was so impressed, he had one burning question for the new champion.

On March 7, the Arnold Sports Instagram page shared the post-win interview where the seven-time Mr. Olympia praised Vissers.

“I’ll ask you a quick question. Where did you get those lats from?” asked Arnie. Vissers credited the Austrian Oak.

“I got those lats from watching you doing those T-bar rows and those bent-over rows with full range of motion back at the pump,” the 2026 Arnold Classic Physique winner answered.

However, Schwarzenegger remained humble. “Well, thank you, but I mean, I don’t think I ever had lats like that. I tell you, your lats are extraordinary. You’re standing there relaxed like this, and it’s just going straight out. This is not normal.”

Schwarzenegger continued, asking how many reps and sets the champion performed. Wesley Vissers jokingly kept his preparation a mystery, replying, “all of them”.

Laughing at Vissers' reply, Arnold jokingly said, “You must be working for the CIA. He doesn’t give us any answers”.

After the event, during an interview with RxMuscle, he admitted that it felt surreal to again be congratulated by the legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Vissers also showed his excitement over winning the $100,000.

Wesley Vissers talked about his current weight and plans

Speaking with RxMuscle, Wesley discussed the development he has made since finishing 5th at the 2025 Arnold Classic and stepping away from Mr. Olympia.

The Dutch IFBB Pro revealed that the break helped him return to this competition with an impressive, heavier physique.

Vissers, who will participate in the 2026 Mr. Olympia, revealed, “because I woke up at 250 pounds on the day of the weigh-in, and I was like 243 in 2024. That's at least 7 pounds, but I still have 5 more pounds to go before I hit my... 6 pounds to go, actually”.

Apart from that, during his appearance at the Menace Podcast on February 27, 2026, he revealed his plan if he wins the Arnold Classic.

He said, “Depending on how the Arnold Ohio goes… and what happens after, I might do Detroit. I’m doing the Arnold Classic UK for sure”.

He added that he will do multiple other shows and try to win 2 Pro shows, which will lead him to participate in Mr. Olympia.
