Ayesha Curry's Fitness Rules and Habits Over The Past Few Years Behind Major Weight Loss and Healthy Lifestyle

Over the years, cookbook author, businesswoman, and Steph Curry's wife, Ayesha Curry, has lost 35 lbs. You might think an intense training program and a rigid diet would be behind it, but that's far from the truth.
"My career is in food, and I'm a firm believer in eating what you love. I'm not a dieter. For me, it was really about learning how to exercise, portion control, and living that 80/20 life," Curry told Women's Health magazine. Here's how small choices added up for the 36-year-old.
Choices That Transformed Ayesha Curry Into a Healthier Version of Herself
Breakfast
- Since water is the essence of life, Ayesha Curry starts her day with a glass of hot water with lemon.
- If she is following intermittent fasting, then she will have a cup of coffee with grassfed butter/ghee and MCT oil. If she is not fasting, then French vanilla creamer in strong coffee is the way to go.
- This is followed by smoked salmon scramble, which is basically slow-cooked scrambled eggs with dill, salt, pepper, and smoked salmon.
Lunch
- After breakfast, Ayesha Curry gets some workout done to maintain her gorgeous figure, and all that hard work is rewarded with a healthy lunch whenever she gets the time. Her lunch typically includes salad with shaved Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and kale with salmon.
- The salad is topped with her own concoction of a dressing with maple syrup, olive oil, lemon, and Dijon mustard.
- Her other favorite salad is arugula or spinach salad with salmon, shrimp, or tuna. The dressing for this salad is made with red onions, a dash of salt, and pepper. Ayesha Curry also includes a chocolate protein shake depending on her requirements.

Dinner
- When it comes to dinner, she loves nothing more than protein and veggies. Since her family loves vegetables, their plate will have everything from Brussels sprouts, asparagus, and broccoli.
- For protein, they choose shrimp, turkey, fish, and ground lamb, cooked at high heat on a stove. All of this is served with a delicious sauce on top.
- If Curry and her family are in the mood for something different, then pasta dishes, steak dinners, or traditional Jamaican dishes like oxtail rice, peas, and fried plantains are her go-to foods.
Desserts
- Ayesha has come a long way from being someone who loved desserts to someone who treats themselves with desserts occasionally.
- Instead of choosing something extremely sweet, she goes for a bowl of cereal with fruit and whipped cream or a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Sauvignon Blanc.
Snacks
- Her go-to snacks are herbel tea, banana chips, jicama, carrot sticks, and hummus, or ranch chickpeas.
Ayesha Curry's workout routine
The motivation behind Ayesha Curry's weight loss was her desire to stay healthy and fit for her children.
Curry is a type of person who believes in small wins over intense training. So her workouts don't follow a rigid structure, because Curry simply does whatever she feels like doing at the time.
"I have to keep my workouts exciting and fresh and different. Sometimes it's biking or high-intensity interval training, others it's a jump rope workout or a workout on the Fitbit app," She told Women's Health.
She has documented her entire workout journey on her YouTube channel, Fitness Fridays.
