Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis are receiving one of California's highest honors. The 'True Lies' co-stars are among the newest inductees into the California Hall of Fame, announced Tuesday. They are joined by a distinguished class, including chef Nobu Matsuhisa.

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced the 19th class of inductees along with First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom. The inductees will be formally inducted during a ceremony at the California Museum in Sacramento on March 19.

Schwarzenegger was recognized for a remarkable journey that took him from humble beginnings to becoming a bodybuilding pioneer, action star, successful businessman, and California's 38th governor.

And he's always loved the state. Back in 2003, he wrote in the LA Times, "California is to me a dreamland. It is the absolute combination of everything I was always looking for. It has all the money in the world there, show business there, wonderful weather there, beautiful country, ocean is there."

And in receiving the honor, he wasn't alone. Jamie Lee Curtis, an Oscar-winning actress, was honored for her five-decade career in entertainment, her humanitarian work, and for becoming a best-selling children’s author. The costars are joined by renowned celebrity chef and restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa, whose Nobu and Matsuhisa restaurant empires have influenced global dining.

Curtis took to Instagram to congratulate her co-star with a sweet caption:

"Hey @schwarzenegger, what a treat to hear this lovely news about our induction into the Hall of Fame for our beloved CALIFORNIA! And our lovely friend, John Burton, and all of the other wonderful inductees. I know how I feel about loving and representing my home state and all the opportunities it has given me and my family. Honored and humbled and pumped up, excuse the pun, Arnold.

Since its launch in 2006, the California Hall of Fame has honored more than 160 inductees. In the Class of 2026, the co-stars and Matsuhisa will be joined by an elite class of leaders, athletes, artists, and innovators being honored for their contributions to the state and beyond.

• John L. Burton: A civil rights activist, healthcare, and foster youth advocate.
• Riane Eisler: A cultural historian and pioneering systems scientist, and the author of the international bestseller “The Chalice and the Blade."
• Janet Evans: Four-time Olympic gold medalist in swimming.
• Carl Lewis: The nine-time track and field Olympic gold medalist, who is considered one of the best athletes of all time. 
• Terry McMillan: The author of the best-selling novels “Waiting to Exhale” and “How Stella Got Her Groove Back."
• Mariachi Reyna de Los Ángeles: The all-women mariachi band.

They join a list that includes the likes of Steve Jobs, Serena Williams, Walt Disney and many more.
