Carey Mulligan’s Workout & Diet Over the Years to Remain Healthy Beyond Hollywood
Over the years, Carey Mulligan has played many roles, and as a result, she has continually adapted her fitness and diet routine. However, one thing that has remained constant over the years, beyond her Hollywood roles, is her fitness.
During an interview with E!, Nofar Hagag shared how she trained Mulligan using her Pilates-based method, which has enhanced Mulligan’s fitness.
Hagag developed the Nofar Method; according to E!, Mulligan swears by it. According to Hagag, “Some people just have a heavy dinner and go to bed…. That’s, like, the worst thing. They say if you walk for 15 or 20 minutes before your bedtime, you sleep more peacefully and your quality of sleep is better.”

So, walking has been a vital health habit for Mulligan, providing her with mental clarity and physical fitness.
Nofar Method also recommends exercising 3 times a week, which is why Mulligan may follow the same routine.
Apart from walking and some strength training, Mulligan also follows Pilates and cardio.

According to the report, Nofar Method devotees, such as Mulligan, swear by the unique combination of:
- 25 minutes on the reformer with lots of props thrown
- 25 minutes on the Cadillac machine.
Hagag said, “I feel like, in any fitness class, consistency is the best secret behind anything. You need to find a place that will be close enough. Because time is money, and you don’t want to travel an hour for a Pilates class or any fitness class. You need to find something that works with your routine.”
Apart from workouts, diet plays a vital role in Mulligan’s fitness and health.

While Mulligan has had to transform her diet for specific movies like The Great Gatsby, she has also said that she maintains an intuitive connection to food.
Mulligan’s diet is well-balanced and includes:
- Protein
- Vegetables.
She also has her go-to salad recipe.
On May 24, 2025, the Instagram account of Bold Bean Co shared the recipe, which includes:
Ingredients:
- charred veggies – squash, cauli or broc
- chopped avo
- crumbled feta
- Rinsed queen butterbeans
- toasted pine nuts.
Dressings:
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp apple cider or white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey
- salt & pepper.
So, over the years, with a consistent approach and routine, Mulligan stays fit.
