Christina Aguilera Shed 50 Lbs in Her 40s After Past Weight ‘Insecurity’

“I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, 'Oh, she's getting thicker,” said Christina Aguilera in her conversation with Glamour after losing 50 lbs over the years.
The 44-year-old revealed that as her body changed, waves of criticism followed. But after a brief period of insecurity, she reshaped her perspective.
"I have a maturity now where I just don't give a [expletive] about your opinion. I'm not going to take it on," she told Glamour in 2024.
Christina faced scrutiny as early as 2011 for her weight. However, she was going through a very difficult period following her divorce from her first husband, Jordan Bratman, while raising their son, Max.

"I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows," she told Marie Claire back in 2012. "Being too thin. Being bigger. I've been criticized for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically. My son is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me."
For a brief period, some fans even speculated she resorted to more drastic measures. Aguilera has never addressed those claims but has briefly spoken about her eating habits.
How Christina Aguilera Shed 50lbs?
After having her son Max in 2008, it took a few years for Christina Aguilera to prioritize living a healthy life, not only for her well-being but also for her son.
By 213, she had already started her journey and followed the 7-Day Color Diet aka, The Rainbow Diet. It was a restrictive diet consisting of only 1,600 calories daily.
The plan assigns a different food color to each day of the week: white, red, green, orange, purple, yellow, and finally a rainbow mix. While she hasn't opened up about sticking to the diet, she's certainly had a more drastic transformation in the last few years.
What about her workouts? According to Touch Weekly, the singer enjoys yoga, boxing, strength training, and cardio exercises. She reportedly works out five times a week.
