Rocky IV star Dolph Lundgren, the man who made Ivan Drago unforgettable, is back in the spotlight. This time, it is not just about his Soviet sculpted physique, but his mindset. At 68, Lundgren is proving that discipline builds physique even at his age.

The legendary ’80s action star took to his Instagram handle to upload a video of himself doing a full-body workout, with a motivational speech playing in the background. The caption read, “My philosophy has always been to keep going no matter what.”

At 68, Dolph still sports a jaw-dropping physique that could put many bodybuilders to shame. It’s even more remarkable when you consider that he battled cancer and won.

His workout philosophy caught the attention of netizens, and in the comment section, Hollywood Actor Scott Adkins, aka Boyka, wrote, “Looking strong and healthy mate.” Another social media user couldn’t help but scream, “Dragoooo, Dragoooo.”

When Rocky IV first dropped in 1985, Ivan Drago’s physique quickly became a fan favorite. Many millennials who are into fitness today credit Dolph for that.

As a matter of fact, one such fan added, “Dolph, you’ve been my workout inspiration since I was 12 and saw Drago in Rocky IV. Now 40 yrs later, you’re still grinding and so am I…much thanks.”

Now the question is, how is he so jacked even after six decades? Well, let’s have a look.

Dolph Lundgren Is More About Balance Nowadays

Lundgren trains five days a week. However, he does not lift as heavy as he used to in his prime. “A lot of people are lifting with their ego," he says.

His workout split looks something like this: chest and arms one day, back the next, and shoulders and biceps the day after. He trains his legs and core twice a week. “

“I have a plan in the evening for what to do the next day,” he says, “but I adjust on how I feel. If I don’t feel like doing something, I won’t go.”

“When I was 27, I had the core strength there so I could do crazy stuff,” he says. “As you get older, you lose those stabilizing functions.” Back in those days, Lundgren used to train to failure, but now it’s more about longevity.
