Dwayne Johnson Influenced Kevin Hart’s Fitness Routine, Claims Victor Martinez

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart may have a frolicking relationship, but behind the jokes, Hart also picked up serious fitness goals from 'The Rock', something even former bodybuilder Victor Martinez appreciated.
Martinez appeared on the March 4 episode of the Generation Iron Podcast where he suggested Kevin Hart was probably influenced by his friend Johnson to hit the gym, especially since Hart shared his workout routine recently. Martinez expressed, “I mean, again, remember, he's [Hart is] an actor. And a lot of his movies are always done with The Rock.”
“You know The Rock is posting a lot of workouts. He's got his own private gym, so Kevin Hart is inspired. I don't think he was working out as much as before he met The Rock,” said Martinez. When the former bodybuilder was asked, “What do you think about his routine?” he responded that it is Hart’s duty to stay fit.
“So you have a lot at your disposal. You have the money, you have chefs, private chefs, private gyms. You should be in shape,” Martinez concluded.
While Kevin Hart may have taken some inspiration from ‘The Rock,’ his fitness journey actually began decades ago.
How Does Kevin Hart Train Himself?
Kevin Hart trains six days a week and makes sure to hit every part of his body. His split looks something like this:
Monday – Lower Body
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – Chest
Thursday – Back
Friday – Full Body
Saturday – Full Body
Sunday – Active Recovery, Light Cardio
However, nowadays he has reduced heavy lifting and focuses more on stretching. “The lifting now is more tailored toward more mobility and stretching. As you get older, it's less load," said Hart’s personal trainer Ron Everline. "Muscle is a foundational principle as you get older. The more muscle you have, the better you are."
Hart has consistently kept cardio as part of his weekly training, and that approach remains unchanged. According to Everline, sprinting is a core exercise for the comedian right now, as he said, “We sprint a lot to get our heart rate up and keep us super young."
Despite being 41 currently, it can be safely said that Hart looks a lot younger, and the credit goes to his workout regimen.
But with that being said, do you think Johnson's affinity towards fitness motivated him even more?
