8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman highlights his continued workout for over three decades

Ronnie Coleman is 62 years old, went through 13 vital surgeries in his lifetime, and is dealing with a blood infection. Still, he maintains a regular training schedule, a habit that made him an 8-time Mr. Olympia.

And that's why his name is synonymous with perseverance and discipline, and he is admired for his intense strength and experience.

Although Coleman retired decades ago, he still stays connected with his fans and the bodybuilding world by sharing his workout videos and life journey with his 14 million Instagram followers.

On July 28, The King shared a post highlighting his workouts, which he has been doing for the past 30 years. Coleman captioned the post, “Almost 30 years later and still putting in that work at @originalmetroflexgym!!”

The post featured a short clip showing Coleman working out. The clip opened with a 2026 scene of Coleman performing a Standing Cable Bicep Curl.

And in the next scene, which was from 1997, Coleman was seen performing movements like:

  • Incline Dumbbell Bicep Curl
  • Standing Barbell Bicep Curl.

During his prime, Coleman used to work out with heavy free weights and high training volume. He even holds the record for an 800-lb squat, 800-lb deadlift, and 200-lb dumbbell bench press.

However, over time, Coleman faced many health issues. As mentioned before, he had 13 surgeries on his spine, neck, and hips. Even so, he remained consistent with his workouts. Currently, he lifts comparatively lower weights and follows a 5- to 6-day-a-week workout routine.

While Coleman shared the workout routine that he has been following for 30 years, let's see what his workout routine was that helped him earn 8 Mr. Olympia titles.
