54 YO Mark Wahlberg's workout begins at 4 am

Turning 54 doesn’t mean it's the time to slow down, but it's the perfect time to start strength-focused workouts, and American actor Mark Wahlberg is well aware of this.
The Ted actor is a member of the “4 am club” and prefers to work out early, at the crack of dawn. On February 25, Wahlberg shared a video on his Instagram titled “Gotta keep pushing!!! 4 am club" while doing an intense workout.
At the start of the video, Wahlberg said, “If you ain't suffering, you ain't growing,” after completing his seated hip adduction exercise.
The producer and actor of “The Family Plan” movie said he thought that he “was working hard,” but rated that he was “not working hard enough.”
He resorted to his workout mode again after saying, “Okay, let's do what we gotta do.” Subsequently, he performed the exercises listed below:
- Heel-Elevated Barbell Back Squat
- Seated Leg Extension
- Plate-Loaded Hack Squat
- Machine Leg Press
- Dumbbell Squat.
- Elevated goblet squat
- Vertical Leg Press
Wahlberg ended his intense session with just a single word, “Ooh!” However, after such a grueling training session, Mark also knows how to replenish his vitality.
Mark Wahlberg’s Breakfast
Apart from intense training, Mark Wahlberg believes in having a protein-rich breakfast, which helps him recover properly and also promotes muscle hypertrophy.
On December 20, 2025, Mark posted a video on his Instagram, captioned, “I eat the same breakfast every day🤬 but I feel better every day!!” The post displayed the Family Plan 2 actor preparing his breakfast with Chef Lawrence Duran.
The video also revealed that Wahlberg usually takes his breakfast or post-workout meal at 7 am. He was consuming a protein-dense meal, which included
- 3 Boiled eggs
- Scrambled eggs with turkey
- Slamon with lemon
- Blueberries
Although he expressed a bit of frustration, saying, “same s***, every day,” Wahlberg also admitted that this habit also makes him “feel better every day!!”
