Fitness Influencer Ganley Gabriel Passes Away at 22, Bodybuilding World Mourns
The bodybuilding world is in deep mourning for one of its young stars, as Brazilian bodybuilder and fitness influencer Gabriel Ganley passed away at the young age of 22.
Known online as “Bbzinho,” Ganley was one of Brazil’s fastest-rising fitness personalities, having built a massive following through workout and bodybuilding content.
Brazilian media reported that Ganley had passed away at his apartment in São Paulo, although the official cause has not been determined as of now.
Ganley was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, and after becoming fascinated with bodybuilding icons from the 1980s and 1990s during his teens, he began training. He initially gained attention online by sharing his fitness journey and promoting natural bodybuilding.
His online presence grew rapidly as his intense training videos and heavy lifts went viral across Instagram and TikTok. According to reports, he had more than 1.5 million Instagram followers.
At the time of his passing, Ganley reportedly was preparing for the Musclecontest Brasil competition in Curitiba. He was a student of Physical Education at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and after completing his education, he moved to São Paulo to pursue bodybuilding full-time.
Ganley’s passing was confirmed on May 23 by one of his sponsors, IntegralMédica, who described him as a disciplined athlete and an inspiration to many aspiring fitness enthusiasts across Brazil.
Many bodybuilders and fans flooded social media with tributes to the young star.
Fans React to Ganley Gabriel’s Passing
His passing shocked the entire bodybuilding community, and tributes from across the world followed.
Brazilian bodybuilder Ramon Dino paid tribute on social media to the young star, stating that he was someone who was “always happy” and made everyone around him laugh.
Bodybuilding veteran Lee Priest commented, "Way too young to die. Condolences to family and friends."
Nick Walker posted it in one of his stories, writing, "RIP. Lost a good one.”
One user said, "Too sad, Brazil in mourning."
Another fan gave his thoughts on Gabriel’s passing, saying,
“He was indeed a good boy. Gabriel Ganley will always live in our hearts!”
One commenter paid him a sweet tribute:
"Brazilian bodybuilding is in mourning. This guy was special. He helped so many people, man, it feels like I lost a close friend, it's already making an absurd foul."
