Forbes features Arnold Schwarzenegger as one of America’s Most Successful Living Immigrants list

Immigrants have been a vital part of the development of the United States over the last 250 years. Some are innovators, some are entrepreneurs, some are actors, and some are athletes. Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of them.

As part of its initiative on June 10, Forbes magazine unveiled a list of the most successful immigrants.

Talking about Schwarzenegger on June 10, the X account of Forbes posted,

“Arnold @Schwarzenegger came to the U.S. from Austria in 1968 as a champion bodybuilder and went on to build a billion-dollar legacy as a real estate mogul, movie star, and two-term California governor.

He’s now on the #Forbes250 America’s Most Successful Living Immigrants list”.

So, these are some points that will highlight his migration journey to America.

Migrated to the USA

In 1968, when Schwarzenegger moved to the USA, he was only 21. The Austrian Oak won his first Mr. Olympia title in 1970, and he was among the bodybuilders who helped spread the sport globally.

His muscular physique and his appearance in Pumping Iron revolutionized bodybuilding in the USA.

He inspired millions to actively start bodybuilding and working out.

In the country, Schwarzenegger also enrolled at the University of Wisconsin in America and earned a degree in business and marketing.

However, Schwarzenegger was still known as an immigrant because by that time, he had not yet received his green card.

During that time, he faced much criticism for not being from the country and for his accent.

However, Schwarzenegger took all the criticism with an open heart, and in 1983, he became an American citizen.

After that, in 1986, he married Maria Shriver, a member of the Kennedy family. From that time on, Schwarzenegger’s foot in politics began to grow stronger.

During the presidential election, Arnold accompanied George H.W. Bush at a campaign rally. His candidacy was declared in 2003, and he became the governor of California.

The 7-time Mr. Olympia was re-elected in 2006 to the same role.

After retiring from the governor’s post, Schwarzenegger returned to acting.

From Austria to becoming a US citizen, Schwarzenegger has shaped many fields, including bodybuilding and acting, and is one of the most deserving people on the Forbes list.
