The former Indy NXT driver and model, Lindsay Marie Brewer, has inspired many not only with her extreme driving skills but also with her lean physique.

However, Brewer trains for more than just keeping herself in shape. The 28-year-old's workout regimen contains several specialized exercises that help her endure the extreme G-forces while racing.

In an interview with Muscle and Fitness, the 28-year-old shared the importance of working on her shoulders and core, saying, "I work my shoulders a lot, and I do a lot of core stabilization to help withstand the G-forces in the car as well."

The driver-model likes to mix several exercises in her workout to make the overall training interesting. She includes movements such as rope climbs, goblet squats, and assault bike.

Brewer also likes to perform dumbbell squats and finishes the movement with a shoulder press to make the muscle multitask.

She told M&F, "I do a lot of Russian twists, because you have to hold your core constantly in a race. It’s also important to focus on your legs because the brake pressure, when you put on those brakes, is so high that you need really strong legs.”

Other exercises included in her full-body workout are back squat, box jumps, kettlebell farmer’s carry, ski erg, stair climber, and standing dumbbell lateral raise. Lindsay Brewer repeats this process 3 times a week to maximize the benefits.

Here's the summary of her full-body workout routine:

  • Dumbbell Squat to Shoulder Press: 3 sets of 12 reps
  • Back Squat: 3 sets of 12 reps
  • Standing Dumbbell Lateral Raise: 3 sets of 12 reps
  • Kettlebell Farmer’s Carry: 30-40 meters
  • Russian Twists: 3 sets of 12 reps (each side)
  • Arm Bike: 1 set to failure
  • Box Jumps: 1 set of 3 reps (for height)
  • Ski-erg: 2 minutes with maximum effort
  • Stair Climber: 30-minute finisher

Apart from this such intense training, she believes in eating healthy to fuel her daily activities and training sessions.

Lindsay Brewer’s Diet

Brewer discussed the importance of a healthy diet during her appearance on episode 2 of Shifting Gears, "I feel like diet's a big part of training as well. You know, a lot of I feel like exercises is 30% of it, diet's about 70%, and I try to stay pretty healthy."

She eats a high-protein diet with a little bit of carbs. Brewer described the benefits of such a diet, saying, "A really high protein diet made me a lot stronger, so a lot of chicken and rice." She loves to eat sushi. On an occasional cheat day, Lindsay Brewer eats an Inn Out protein-style burger.

So, would you like to try a Lindsay Brewer-styled full-body training session and diet?
