Biceps curls are one of the purest ways prove your brute strength.

Heavy curls have long blurred the line between bodybuilding aesthetics and raw power, but what are the heaviest curls of the modern era? From Ronnie Coleman to Larry Wheels, here are the five heaviest curls today.

Phil Heath

Seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath built his reputation by becoming the face of the sport after Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman left the game. Known for his mass-monster physique, he once curled 20 kg during his prime. After his 2017 Mr. Olympia appearance, he never won another Olympia title, but the legacy he left still echoes.

Ronnie Coleman

Arguably the biggest bodybuilding icon ever, Coleman holds the record for winning eight consecutive Olympia titles. He dominated the sport from 1998 to 2005 and set several heavy-lifting records, including performing 35-kg bicep curls during his prime.

Kevin Levrone

He might not have won a single Mr. Olympia title, but despite that, he remains one of the biggest bodybuilding icons in the world. During his prime, Levrone reportedly curled a massive 50 kg, which is still considered a record to this day.

And guess what? When Coleman was struggling, Levrone was the one who motivated him to succeed.

Larry Wheels

Wheels started his weightlifting career at 18, posting a 1,810-pound total. He set his first world record in the 242-pound weight class in 2017 with a 2,171-pound total. At one point, he even curled 102 kg, making it the second on the list.

Well, there are a number of athletes who have lifted heavy, but these four stand as all-time greats. Given that, do you have any others in mind?
