Griffith model wins big in US bodybuilding competitions
23-year-old model, fitness instructor, and mother, Lara Louise, is gaining immense popularity in the international bodybuilding circuit. The Griffith-native recently took the crown in Orlando as well as Miami, making her one of the fastest-growing female bodybuilders in recent years.
After securing the silver medal at a Gold Coast event, Louise headed over to America to test her skills at the Pittsburgh Pro Qualifier, where she placed fifth in the Fifth Model open.
She then went on to the Miami Pro, placing first, following it with another first-place finish at the Southern USA Pro in Orlando.
“It was four intense back-to-back shows competing for one month straight,” she said, according to Region Riverina on June 20. “I’ve learnt so much and been thrown into the deep end of bodybuilding, seeing it all and experiencing it. Now I can implement that knowledge and skills into my own coaching for clients.”

Louise’s journey began at just 15 when she began modelling. She soon stepped into the world of professional modelling after her move to Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Now, she works as an online instructor and nutrition coach. Moreover, she successfully runs her own Italian food business.
Louise has put in immense hard work into building her look and physique. She not only trains intensely but also follows a strict diet to complement her fitness routine.
A look into Lara Louise's fitness routine and diet
Building a near-perfect physique like Louise’s requires massive time, effort, dedication, and consistency. Louise has put in all the work, and her efforts have paid off.
As per the same interview published on Region Riverina, Louise admitted it gets challenging to maintain her tight schedule, especially considering the fact that she is raising her son.
“I train six times a week for about an hour and a half each session. It’s hard when I’m trying to look after my son, but I’m determined to get it done,” she admitted.
For Louise, however, the most challenging part isn’t training.
“The hardest part is the food. I eat five times a day, every two to three hours. I drink at least five litres of water a day and up to seven litres a day leading into competition.”
While she might be gorging on food five times a day, she admitted how several of her favorite foods are off limits. The only fruit she is allowed to eat is blueberries, and she is completely banned from eating chocolate.
No doubt, it takes immense sacrifice and dedication to reach where Louise did in such a short time.
