Harrison Ford Shows His Fit Physique While Cycling Before His 84th Birthday
Let's take a moment to wish the Hollywood veteran Harrison Ford a Happy 84th Birthday. But while many of his age fail to even move around freely, Ford was recently spotted pushing bicycle pedals in Los Angeles, which also showcased his commendable physique for an 83-year-old.
Two days before Ford's birthday, Page Six shared a couple of snaps on their Instagram displaying the Blade Runner actor gearing up for his biking session in a low-cut cycling bib. Before he could put his T-shirt on, his arms were out on display, and they looked much better toned than the arms of an average 83-year-old.
He then got on his bike, put on his helmet, and pedaled on.
Ford's fitness at this age, as is evident from the Instagram post, speaks volumes about how being physically active can help individuals stay in shape even in their 80s.

A YouTube video from Filminside featured him confessing that he mostly relies on physical activity to maintain his fitness, without focusing much on training.
Ford also mentioned that playing tennis is his other go-to activity to maintain his fitness. He said, "I don't do much [regarding working out]. I'm active physically. I play tennis, and I ride my bike. I do a little work in the gym."
But this wasn't the case in the early 1980s when Ford embraced proper gym training, primarily for his role in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. His trainer, Jake Steinfield, told Men's Health about Ford's then-workout split.
He said, "We focused on different body parts depending on the day. Monday, Thursday: chest and triceps. Tuesday, Friday: back and biceps. Wednesday, Saturday: shoulders and legs. Abs every day."
Well, gone are those days, and with increasing age, the 84-year-old has figured out his purpose for his "little work" in the gym.
The primary reason why Ford Harrison still works out
Ford's role in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom featured him in multiple shirtless scenes, which is why the 84-year-old started hitting the gym in the early 1980s.
But now that he is past the age of playing such action hero roles, he has cut down on his efforts in the gym and aligned the remaining efforts according to his new purpose.
Ford revealed his current vision behind working out during the chat session with Men's Health.
"I believe in training for injury prevention more than anything else. I’m an old f***, and I need to protect myself."
He currently works with his long-time trainer, Jamie Milnes, in the gym. Milnes designs Ford's workouts around core strength and total-body conditioning, often using dumbbells and medicine balls.
However, Ford's case also displays how doing physical activities can help one maintain their fitness even after 50.
So, are you planning to include a few of them in your routine to live fitter for a longer time?
