How Charles Leclerc Stays Fit at Home Beyond F1 Demands

Charles Leclerc is off to a hot start at the Australian GP practice. But his work isn't just limited to the track. Outside the car, the driver has to put in some incredible effort to stay fit.
Three days ago, Charles Leclerc, in collaboration with Technogym, shared a post revealing what he includes in his home gym.
“I chose a rack which basically you can do everything for a bike for the cardio part, a chest press, and I'm trying to fit a leg press somewhere... I just really like to have kind of my routine and have everything at home now. Good for me, but Formula 1 has become a little bit bigger, so to get out of home is a little bit more difficult. To have everything at home is a big advantage,” he said.
F1 drivers face extreme physical demands, sometimes enduring forces above 6G in cockpits that can reach 50°C. As per reports, a single race may burn up to 1,500 calories, which is why racers often train like Olympic athletes.
"I try to activate my coordination as well, playing football keep-ups with my trainer. The neck is a very important part to warm up the core.”
While each driver may have different exercises, their routine remains the same. For instance, while they may choose to do different cardio exercises, exercises like neck resistance training remain a constant.
Even on race days, while they prepare with their performance coach, fans often find them cycling on the track.
That being said, what does his entire day of workouts look like? Well, let’s have a look.
