How Floyd Mayweather Had Trained for the Manny Pacquiao Fight

May 2, 2015, that very night, Floyd Mayweather silenced his critics by retaining the WBA, WBC, and WBO welterweight world titles against the eight-division champion, Manny Pacquiao.
However, even before a single punch was thrown, the winning script was being written in the gym.
Floyd Mayweather Training Camp For Manny Pacquiao
It was such a big fight that both boxing greats made sure their exact training camps were kept hidden from the cameras. Manny Pacquiao even said, “I won’t tell you what the game plan is because that will be very silent.” And that’s exactly what happened.
Manny kept it hidden, but Mayweather was flaunting it. ‘Money’ followed Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky approach for his training, waking up early for a cardio run before hitting the gym for conditioning, boxing, and strength training.

As a matter of fact, Mayweather pulled a pro-move by bringing in Manny’s former conditioning coach, Alex Ariza, to his team before the fight, and Ariza brought swimming with him for Floyd, which worked pretty great for him .
Apart from that, Mayweather uploaded a video on his socials of himself chopping wood, very similar to what Stallone did in ‘Rocky.’ But it carried far greater significance than just a movie reference. Muhammad Ali trained this way while preparing for his rematch with Joe Frazier in 1974.
Years have passed since their bout. However, it appears that they are about to renew their rivalry.
Mayweather. Vs Pacman Rematch Is On
A decade has passed since both of them faced each other, and now the rematch is set to take place on September 19 in Las Vegas.
“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history,” said Pacquiao. “The fans have waited long enough – they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix.”
Round two of their rivalry heads to the futuristic Sphere, with Netflix delivering the action to a global audience. Speaking about the rematch, Mayweather said, “ I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result.”
Both men will come out of retirement to clash against each other. Will Manny be able to change the script this time, or will there be another defeat?
