Iain Valliere Proves Real Strength Doesn’t Need Assistance

Iain Valliere, the IFBB Pro bodybuilder, highlighted yet again that pure strength speaks for itself, without relying on any condition.
On January 31, Valliere shared an Instagram snap featuring a carousel of his workout clips from his leg day. The 34-year-old mentioned that he trained without any resistance band to the weight rack, but that didn't affect his performance. He also disclosed that he exercised with 10 plates per side.
The caption to his post read, "Experiment complete: removing assistance did not in fact remove strength. Who woulda thought; strong is strong."
Valliere also shared his “leg day in order”, which includes:
- Quad extension: 3 x 10-15
- Leg press: 3 x 12-15
- Hack squats: 2 x 10-12
- Seated ham curl: 3 x 10-15
- GHR: 3 x 7-10.
Apart from this, 2 days ago, the retired bodybuilder shared another post in which he admitted that real progress comes with pushing yourself.
Iain Valliere shared that while a lot of people “debate about the right way to train”, the vital thing is to push yourself or challenge yourself. That will make people strong.
He also added, “Seeing what your body is capable of when you truly apply yourself. That’s fun as hell. And deeply satisfying. I think it’s a shame to go through life never discovering your physical potential. Imagine never knowing… How strong could I have been?”
While admitting that curiosity has always driven him, he shared some workouts that he practiced that day:
- Seated ham curls: 3 x 12-15
- Quad extensions: 3 x 12-15
- Pendulum: 2 x 5-8
- Leg press: 3 x 12-15
- GHR: 3 x 7-10.
But his fitness routine and motivation are far from being the only things Valliere shares. He also presents his analysis from the touted bodybuilding contests.
Iain Valliere predicts his top 3 for the Arnold Classic 2026
On December 28, 2025, Valliere uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he previewed the 2026 Arnold Classic lineup and picked his top 3 .
He said, “The Arnold lineup is out, exciting. We have like six or seven of the top 10 from the Olympia. Andrew, Hadi, Nick, Martin, Tonio, Brandon Curry, right there. Akim Williams, Rafael Brandao, we got Anthony Williams”.
He added, “I’m very excited to see Brandao back in the mix. Good lineup. As of now, my predictions, this is so f****** boring, but I think I’m probably going to stay with them in the same order that they placed at the Olympia. I think it’s a very short turnover”.
Valliere's top-3 were:
- Hadi Choopan: winner
- Andrew Jacked: 1st runner up
- Martin Fitzwater: 2nd runner up
So, do you think Valliere's prediction will come to fruition?
