Jay Cutler Plans 2027 Arnold Classic Return, But Not to Compete

A simple message from 4-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler has gained attention. What seemed like a usual congratulatory post after the Arnold Classic UK, 2026, might be hinting at something bigger.
Let's dive into it.
Cutler, who attended the Arnold Classic UK and gave his fans the opportunity to take photos with him at the Birmingham NEC, congratulated all the event winners via an Instagram post on March 30.
But the post's caption revealed one of the British bodybuilder's plans, which he intends to pursue in 2027. He wrote:
“The dust has settled after the 2026 @arnoldsportsuk, and I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate all of this weekend’s champions! Can’t wait to be BACK in Birmingham in 2027!”

With the message coming back at the same event in 2027, he also mentioned the names of the winners from each division, who are:
- Andrew Jacked: winner of the Men's Open division
- Mike Sommerfeld: winner of the Classic Physique
- James Berger: winner of the wheelchair division
- Victor Chaves: winner of the Men's Physique division
- Michelle Fredua Mensah: winner of the fitness
- Rayane Fogal: winner of the Wellness division
- Ashlyn: winner of the Bikini division.
Cutler was also at the 2025 Arnold Classic, where he enjoyed the moment and congratulated the winner, Derek Lunsford.
After attending the Arnold Classic Ohio, Cutler admitted that the event's momentum has changed significantly.
On March 8, through an Instagram post, he said, "I came here many, many years ago, and I thought I was winning a really, really large prize, which at the time was, I was winning cars and everything else.
Now, that title has gained so much momentum. It’s such a global brand. What Arnold has created, we all follow. We all just wanted a piece of what he achieved. Be a part of that whole aura of everything."
While Cutler congratulated the winners on their achievement, he also admitted a few days ago that he did not enjoy competing at his peak time.
Jay Cutler did not enjoy competing
On March 26, on his own YouTube channel, Cutler discussed the pressure that celebrity bodybuilders face, specifically from the media.
Talking to the person holding the camera for him, Cutler said, “You know the pressure, it's indirect pressure, and some people handle it differently. I feel I navigated it well, but at the same time I always felt like I was up against it”.
Later, he admitted he never enjoyed it. Explaining the reason, he said, “By the time you turn around, you're in prep again for the next year. It never stopped.”
Following Mr. Olympia 2013, Cutler retired at the age of 40. Since then, he has hinted about making a on multiple occasions.
So, Cutler's latest statements emphasize that although he will return at the Arnold Classic in 2027, it won't be about chasing the title; instead, it's all about enjoying the journey.
