Kevin Levrone Opens Up About His Mindset and Life After Competitive Bodybuilding

Kevin Levrone had it all. He dominated throughout his career with 23 first-place titles, and his name has been inducted into the Hall of Fame. His efforts looked impossible as a minimum requirement.

But what made him a standout athlete was his mindset. He had this crazy grit and never let comfort settle in, no matter how many victories he had. That mindset didn't retire when he did.

When he got asked about his thoughts on satisfaction, he said: "I feel like I have work to do — a lot more work to do. Never content with where I'm at."

"I am very grateful for everything — God has blessed me to walk from one end of the earth to the other" — but gratitude, for Levrone, was never a reason to stop pushing.

Levrone never takes anything for granted; he takes all the blessings, shows all the gratitude, and then asks what he's supposed to do with them.

His mindset and thought process never retired, and that's exactly how he shapes his life after competition.

Life After Competition: What Kevin Levrone Is Actually Chasing

Most athletes suffer an identity crisis after stepping away from the stage. Kevin Levrone made his life way more purposeful after retirement.

During the same interview with Musclediscord, Levrone was asked whether he's happy too, to which he said: "I'll be happy when there's no evil, when there's no wars, and when there's no suffering and when there's no pain amongst other people."

And then, without flinching: "What makes me happy is if I can make a difference in somebody else's life, take the pain away from somebody else, and carry that burden myself."

Levrone summed up all his achievements and added something very simple: "Love is free." To help somebody and to tell them you love them could save somebody's life."

Life after competition, for Kevin Levrone, isn't a chapter winding down. It's the one he always believed mattered most.
