Leo Messi's fitness and workout at 39 impresses fitness fans

For Argentina's FIFA World Cup-winning legend, Lionel Messi, there are no days off, even on his 39th birthday.

Messi, who turned 39 on June 24, shared an Instagram video of himself working out at full intensity.

The FIFA World Cup's all-time top goal-scorer was seen focusing on his arms and upper body. In the post, Messi was seen doing exercises like:

  • Pull-ups
  • Alternating Dumbbell Bicep Curls
  • Medicine Ball Russian Twists
  • Medicine Ball Sit-Ups
  • Cable Rope Bicep Curls.

His training routine is tailored to his core athletic needs, which include rapid acceleration, agility, and explosive power.

Messi does not necessarily focus on bulk, and his gym routine targets functional fitness aspects that help him win a match.

The fitness video from the legend has definitely boosted his fans' morale. Argentina, led by Messi, has already progressed to the Round of 32 in the FIFA World Cup 2026. They won the final group-stage face-off against Jordan on June 28 with a score of 3-1.

So, when Messi posted the video, his fans wasted no time leaving comments praising the legend.
