Lindsey Vonn Starts Biking in Recovery—Rafael Nadal & Others React

Lindsey Vonn's grueling recovery has hit a major milestone. Just one month after her massive crash at the Winter Olympics, the skiing icon shared an inspiring update with fans. Her progress has drawn praise from across the sports world, including tennis legend Rafael Nadal.

The crash at Milano Cortina left Lindsey Vonn with a complex tibia fracture. For a moment, doctors even feared for her leg, but she’s already back in the gym.

On Friday, the Olympic gold medalist provided a significant update on her recovery journey following her life-altering accident through her Instagram handle, showing that her rehabilitation has now progressed to a stationary bike. “Guys…. I'm biking!! Starting with 5 minutes… making progress one day at a time."

Previously, Lindsey Vonn posted a similar video on her Instagram performing leg extensions, core-building movements with a medicine ball, and upper-body training with dumbbells. “Definitely some hard times, but still thankful… I'm still working hard. The only goal is to get healthy. One day at a time,” she captioned the post.

She did try to stand on her injured leg; however, it was not that successful. Due to the crash, Vonn had to undergo five surgeries, one in Italy and four in the US.

Her latest update quickly drew supportive comments from fans and fellow athletes.
