Lindsey Vonn's road to recovery is officially underway. After a devastating crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics, the ski legend is sharing her journey on social media. Her perseverance has drawn support from across the sports world, including from UFC champions and fellow Olympians.
Vonn crashed on February 8 at the 2026 Winter Olympics and broke her left leg. Since then, she has undergone multiple surgeries and is now in her recovery stage, sharing her journey with her beloved fans on social media.
On March 30, Vonn posted a video on her Instagram captioned “No matter how hard I get knocked down, I will always find a way to get back up! One step at a time! #progress 💪🏻” The athlete even wrote a message in the video itself, which showed her perseverance and determined mindset, she wrote “coming back from the comeback… From the comeback.”
In the video, the eight-time downhill World Cup season champion was seen walking slowly with crutches. She was wearing a long-sleeved top and athletic shorts. She completed her look with a watch and tied her hair into a ponytail.
Vonn looked serious as she took steps forward and concentrated on her movements at the rehab center. She regularly updates her fans on her recovery on social media.
On March 21, she posted another short video on Instagram, in which she was seen performing pull-ups. The post reads “First set of pull-ups post surgery… slowly getting there!”
Although she struggled with the last two pull-ups, she completed a total of six in the video.
In the meantime, the Olympics' official Instagram account shared a video on April 1, 2026, captioned “You can never keep a legend down! 🥹🫶 @lindseyvonn.”
Her courage, determination, and zeal to fight back are receiving praise from other athletes, and her fans keep posting recovery wishes to her.

Chari Hawkins, the American track and field athlete, wrote the message “👏👏👏” and supported Vonn during her hard times.
In fact, the official handle of Red Bull, “Red Bull USA” dropped a sweet “inspiring ❤️👏” message on her inspiration video.
Not only athletes and brands, but also her fans showed their support for the fighter.
