Logan Paul Reveals Why He Doesn't Count Calories

Athletes usually keep track of their calorie intake as part of their routine. But not Logan Paul. The WWE star revealed how he maintains his jacked physique by focusing on daily habits instead of counting calories.

"You eat a specific amount of calories a day, do you know how many?" asked Jesse James West on the February 22 episode of his podcast with Paul.

"No," replied the wrestler.

Being overly focused on every bite can quickly become draining. However, maintaining ripped abs and massive strength and endurance seems nearly impossible without counting calories. Paul opened up about how he focuses on eating high-quality foods, rather than counting calories.

“This is light, but it’s good carbs," said Paul while having a breakfast bowl containing oats, peanut butter, banana, and raspberry. "And I’ll use those carbs like logs on a fire. We’ll go work out, and then we just burn all that wood- the carbs.”

Before breakfast, Paul prefers to start his day with coffee.

"Does two things," shared Paul. "One gets me going. Two. Suppresses your appetite. Look, this is my breakfast. It's 1:00 p.m."

He loads up on carbs and protein, using the energy as fuel to burn off the calories with high-intensity workouts. So, instead of fretting over each calorie, he is mindful of the quality of food he intakes and how he uses the energy to burn it off.

How Logan Paul Approaches Food and His Typical Diet

Paul has a more relaxed, unrestrictive approach. Although he doesn't count calories, he sticks to whole foods and avoids processed junk like bread and pasta.

A great approach he uses to ensure his metabolic rate is high all day is to eat five meals a day. Moreover, he makes it a point to drink 2.5 gallons of water daily.

“I eat very healthy, only really consuming greens and high-quality protein (at least 100 grams per day) like eggs and chicken," he said about his diet as reported by Fitness Volt.

He focuses on protein sources like chicken, salmon, protein bars, protein shakes, and eggs. For carbs, he includes sweet potato or brown rice in his diet.

Paul eats a light dinner, with his last meal focused on protein to aid muscle recovery. The salad also provides enzymes that help the body digest and absorb food from the day.

What do you think about Logan Paul’s unconventional approach to dieting and fitness?
