“I don’t go to the gym often,” Maria Menounos disclosed in her conversation with Too Fab. The TV host has a chiseled, toned physique.
However, her workout habits are different from what many might expect. So, what’s the secret? Let’s find out.
Maria Menounos's different workout routine
The TV host doesn’t follow a preferred workout routine, as she isn’t a big fan of the gym. However, she stays in motion all day, ensuring she burns as many calories as possible.
“Generally speaking, I find creative ways to squeeze in exercises during my daily living routine, and I stay as active as I possibly can,” said Maria in her conversation with TooFab.
She further added, “I walk instead of driving. I opt for stairs instead of escalators. I also have an inexpensive pedometer that measures my daily steps. I strive to do 10,000 a day, and whether I accomplish that or not, it’s a reminder to try.”
Just because she doesn’t go to the gym often, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t work out. Maria indulges in pelvic-floor workouts to support better joint movement. Her toned belly can be attributed to her core and abdominal training, which includes the Skater Lunge, Lying Triceps Extension, Alternating Superman, Spider-Man Plank, and Trunk Twisters
Maria Menounos Eating Habits
The TV host keeps her diet really clean, “I really do try to aim for a 75-25 rule for eating (but for me it’s really 80% clean),” she told Health. What does it mean? Put simply, dieting is important; however, it shouldn’t come between you and your cheat meals.
She further added, “ Make sure you’re doing what you love in fitness and eating right. Don’t force yourself to eat eggs every morning if you hate them. Don’t force yourself to go to the gym if you hate it. You won’t stick with it. Find something you love. For breakfast, I’m not an egg-white person; I hate egg whites. So I have smoothies.”
In addition to that, Maria Menounos drinks hot water throughout the day to stay hydrated as well as to help her digestion.
