Mark Henry thanks Brock Lesnar after his daughter Joanna wins women’s national duels in Indianapolis

After his decorated in-ring WWE career, Brock Lesnar seems to have switched to helping his former colleagues' kids achieve their goals. And he received a hearty response from Mark Henry after a similar act.

On June 18, Henry shared an Instagram post to thank Lesnar for his contribution to his daughter, Joanna's, success at the 2026 Women's National Wrestling Duals. The 'World's Strongest Man' gave 'The Beast Incarnate' full credit for his daughter's impressive 4-0 run in the tournament. While the snap accompanying Henry's post showcased Lesnar with Joanna, its caption voiced his pleasure.

"Thank you, Brock. " You will be very proud of Joanna today," Henry penned. "She went 4-0 at the Women’s National Duels in Indianapolis, Indiana, today!"

But despite Henry's elation at his daughter's victory, the 'World's Strongest Man' was taken over by emotions while detailing how Joanna ended up being Lesnar's disciple.

During his appearance on an episode of the Stuck In My Thoughts podcast on May 30, Henry disclosed that it was Lesnar who offered to coach Joanna, while the process is completely opposite in most cases.

"Shout out to Brock Lesnar. He just spent a couple of hours with my daughter, who’s a wrestler. He’s like, ‘Man, my daughter, she’s a thrower, my boys, they play hockey," said Henry. "I don’t have anybody to pass my wrestling on to.’ And he was like, ‘I saw your daughter,’ and I went, ‘Brock, thank you."

Henry got pretty emotional while describing the incident. He later admitted that he was touched by Lesnar's "generosity." The 55-year-old said:

"To be generous enough to share your knowledge with somebody, it’s better than money. It’s way better than money. To teach another person how to be great, that’s special."

However, this background story is far from being the only thing that Henry has revealed related to Lesnar in the recent past.

Mark Henry makes a wish regarding Brock Lesnar's WWE career

After a thoroughly decorated WWE career, Lesnar retired at WrestleMania 42 on April 19 this year. It was an emotional moment both for WWE fans and 'The Beast Incarnate,' as he left his gloves and boots inside the ring and walked off the ramp with Paul Heyman for the final time following his defeat against Oba Femi.

However, he returned to Monday Night RAW to attack Oba Femi and avenge his loss, signing for a match at Clash in Italy. But despite this, he remains largely retired.

But while fans accepted this as the end of Lesnar's WWE career, Henry thinks Lesnar has a few more matches left in him. While speaking to ITR Wrestling in early May, he mentioned that he wants Lesnar to come out of retirement for an upcoming WWE event this year.

Henry said, "I hope Brock comes back for this simple reason: SummerSlam is going to be in Minnesota, where he is from, and it would be a classic place to retire at home. And to give the fans the chance to show you their respect the way it should be done. I respect Brock, his legacy. [But] he has got a lot left to give, in my opinion."

WWE has a history of surprise returns, like Edge in 2020, after 9 years away. So, with SummerSlam scheduled for August 1 and 2, there's every possibility for Henry's wish to come true.

However, do you think he will put out another "thank you" post if Lesnar makes his wish come to life?
