After a short hospitalization, Veteran actor and martial artist Chuck Norris passed away at 86.

The notable actor experienced an unspecified health scare on March 18 and was admitted to a hospital on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The exact nature and cause of the emergency were not known.

And on Friday, March 19, his family announced his passing via an Instagram post on the actor's page.

"It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace."

The family paid tribute to his legacy, describing him as the heart of their family and a symbol of strength and discipline. They also thanked fans for their prayers during Norris's hospitalization but didn't disclose any details about the reason for his passing.

But according to multiple reports, the actor was training intensely before the incident, which suggested that the emergency could have been linked to that rather than an underlying condition.

At the time of his admission, there were no updates on the severity, but initial reports by TMZ cited Norris’ spokesperson, who informed them that he was in a stable condition and in good spirits.

Chuck Norris left doing what he loved to do the most

The incident occurred just days after Norris celebrated his 86th birthday on March 10. To commemorate the occasion, he shared a video of himself performing some light training and expressing appreciation for his health by cheekily stating, 'I don't age, I level up.'

Norris was best known for his long career in action films, particularly for his legendary fight scene with martial arts legend Bruce Lee in the movie The Way of the Dragon and his role in the television show Walker, Texas Ranger.

Throughout his career, he remained physically active, carrying it forward well into his 80s despite largely stepping back from full-time acting.

He was also very active on social media and shared videos of his daily activities, training, and sometimes even gave his followers a dose of nostalgia by sharing videos from his old movies.
