Ramon Dino’s Journey From Jobless to Mr. Olympia Champion

From a small wooden house in Brazil, Ramon Dino has worked hard to reach the world's biggest bodybuilding stage. His story is the perfect example of how hunger, struggle, and discipline can change one’s life.
So let's learn more about Dino's incredible rise:
Early life of Ramon Dino
Dino was born on February 9, 1995, in Acre, Brazil, to a poor family. His parents parted ways when he was a child, and after that, he was raised solely by his strict father.
'O Dinossauro do Acre' started doing Calisthenics at the age of 14 because he could not afford a gym. He used to train himself in parks with body weight. As a result, his body started taking shape without a proper diet plan, supplements, and a coach.
Time passed, and after 3 years of Calisthenics and street training, Dino was noticed by a local bodybuilder named Marcio Garcia (Dino’s first coach) while he was doing pull-ups.
Since he couldn't afford to get into a gym, Dino leapt at Garcia's offer to train with him. But even then, he could only afford a one-way ticket, and hence, he often walked to his gym.
However, Dino’s consistency and an unrelenting mindset didn't allow him to stop until he reached a garnd stage to prove his mettle.
Ramon Dino’s journey to reach the Mr. Olympia
At the age of 23, Ramon Dino got his pro card in the 2018 Amateur Olympia in Brazil. Due to financial issues, he didn't compete for 3 years and nearly gave up on bodybuilding. Then he got a chance to participate in a reality show called Bansawo Mara in 2020, which revived his career.
After that, he met Renato Cariani, a bodybuilding coach, who helped Dino with training and supported his career. In 2021, Ramon again stepped on the stage and secured the 2nd position at the IFBB Europe Pro. That winning gave him a ticket to Mr. Olympia.
During his appearance at Mr. Olympia in 2021, Ramon competed against giants like Chris Bumstead. Still, he successfully left a mark, and the world noticed his physique. Dino finished in 5th position that night.
However, that did not stop him. Next year, the Brazilian bodybuilder appeared on the Mr. Olympia stage by cutting his weight by 30 to 35 lbs to match the 222 lbs weight category and secured the 2nd position.
Four months later, he again appeared in the 2023 Arnold Classic and secured the 1st position.
Though Dino’s 2023 and 2024 Mr. Olympia competitions did not bring him any trophy, he hit back with more preparation, and in 2025, he earned the trophy of Mr. Olympia in the Classic Physique division. Currently, Ramon Dino is getting ready for the 2026 Arnold Classic.
