Regina Hall’s Workout Routine in Her 50s That Helps Her Retain a Healthy Physique

Best known for her hilarious role in the Scary Movie series, 55-year-old Regina Hall is loved for her talent as well as her physique. However, becoming a Hollywood icon with incredible roles comes at the price of having reduced ‘me-time’.

People often wonder how Hall, in her 50s, manages to maintain her toned physique healthily. During an interview with Parade in 2021, Hall revealed the quick and easy workout routine she resorts to on her busiest days. Her go-to workouts vary from cardio to yoga, Pilates, and HIIT.

She admits how finding the motivation to work out now is tougher compared to her younger days. Of course, with trial and error, Hall has found an ideal routine that works for her at this age.

“Twenty years ago, fitness felt more fun. Now it feels more imperative. I’m like, 'S***, I have to work out!'” she exclaimed. Hall added, “It was a lot more challenging to be healthy and fit and excited when I was in quarantine. I had to find a new way to motivate myself.”

When Hall is especially pressed for time, she opts for floor exercises and emphasizes how lunges, squats, sit-ups, and push-ups make for a holistic full-body workout. She would even squeeze in jump-rope intervals when she had the time.

Last year, while speaking with Eating Well magazine, Hall also spoke about her love for yoga and pilates, saying:

“I love yoga and I'm a big fan of Pilates. Pilates is best in the morning, otherwise I'll probably talk myself out of it by the afternoon.”

Rowing is also a key part of her routine, but it took her some time to warm up to the exercise and even look forward to doing it.

Of course, the secret to her beauty and physique goes beyond workouts. She also has a clean diet to supplement her wellness routine.

Regina Hall Shares Her Key Diet Pillars For an Incredible Physique

Hall shared with Eating Well magazine in 2025 what her go-to morning diet is, and it’s quite surprising! Apparently, the actor enjoys fresh juice every morning, her favorite being cantaloupe.

“Fresh juice! I got a juicer six months ago, and now I make one every morning," said Hall. "I shoot really early, and sometimes I’m not hungry at 5 or 6 a.m., but a juice gets me going. I’ll do different blends, some for skin, some to help with digestion. One of my favorites? Fresh cantaloupe juice, ice cold. Nothing like it.”

When it comes to food, she loves cornbread, potato salad, mac and cheese, and fried corn as an indulgence. However, she focuses mainly on a clean diet, which includes quinoa, lean proteins, and vegetables. Breakfast generally includes yogurt with berries, scrambled eggs with Ezekiel toast, or chia pudding.

Her lunches are heavily plant-focused, and she also takes daily healthy liquid oils and probiotics for healthy, glowing skin.

At 55, Hall proves that consistency and a well-rounded fitness routine beat hours at the gym, any day.
