Vintage bodybuilding photos shared by 1989 Mr. Universe Milos Sarcev, featuring Ronnie Coleman, the 8-time Mr. Olympia, continue to excite fans, offering a glimpse of the 1990s mass era.

On May 2, the Mind shared a montage of images on his Instagram from the “SUPER MEGA MASS GRAND PRIX 1998”.

Giving context to the situation, Sarcev added in the caption, “Helsinki Culture House offered a rare treat to Finnish spectators in October 1998, when Ronnie Coleman, who had just won Mr. Olympia for the first time, took an easy victory at the Finnish GP."

"Ronnie had only won this before the Canada Pro 1995 and 1996 races. And the 1997 Russian Grand Prix, which was held the day after the Finnish Grand Prix.”

What caught fans' attention was the sheer mass and size of the bodybuilders, especially their poses. Specifically, despite winning the Grand Prix in 1997, Coleman came 3rd at the Iron Man Pro and 9th at the Mr. Olympia. However, in 1998, Coleman hit the stage at this event with improved conditioning, a more masculine appearance, and more detailed posing.

In a lineup of legendary bodybuilders, fans and judges praised Sarcev, who was in 5th place, for his exceptional conditioning and skill in revealing every muscular part of his body through impressive poses.

Coleman also received recognition from fans for his wide and thick back.

Talking about the competition, the former Mr. Universe added, “IFBB Pro League professional competitions were held in Finland in 1989, 1990, 1991, 1997, 1998, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, and of course, the 1992 Mr. Olympia competition, after which it has somewhat stayed on the American continent”.

While Sarcev recalled the moment by sharing images from the competition, fans began praising the legends in the comments.

One fan commented by praising Sarcev for his quads, “separation of those quads🔥”. The former Mr. Universe, who is celebrated for his high-intensity training method, is also known for his quads.

Another fan shows his appreciation for the 8-time Mr. Olympia’s physique. He wrote, “I always wonder how a 98-2001 era Ronnie would place next to modern guys. From Heath's era to now”.

While one fan praised the lineup. He said, “legendary line up!!🔥🔥🔥,” another recalled the golden era, saying, “never seeing these physiques again”.
