Everything is bigger in Texas, and a recent announcement from Ronnie Coleman got bodybuilding aspirants hoping to win big in the state.

On February 27, the 8-time Mr. Olympia shared a short video on Instagram with Brian Dobson, where he announced the date, venue, and other details of one of bodybuilding's most popular contests, the Ronnie Coleman Classic.

The caption detailed that it would be the 30th edition of the event. It read, "Yall know we know how to party. We been doing this for 30 years, and it gets better every year. Get your entries in because we’ll have all classes of bodybuilding, fitness, figure, women’s physique, men’s physique, etc. Yeah Buddy!!! lightweightbaby!!!"

For decades, the Coleman Classic remained an amateur event where athletes and bodybuilders competed to get a Pro Card. In 2022, Coleman Classic was first presented as a professional contest.

In the video, Coleman and Dobson also revealed that people interested in being a part of the event can get their tickets from Metrofluxevents.com.

In 2025, Robert Chaney won the competition in the Men's bodybuilding division, and Andy Salinas won the Men’s physique division. It will be interesting to see if they can retain their titles or if a new champion is crowned.

But before attention turns to Texas, The King is set to appear at another global stage first.

Ronnie Coleman is set to visit Columbus, Ohio

Before Coleman's honorary contest, the coveted Arnold Classic is set to take place in Columbus, Ohio, from March 5-8, and the event authorities have declared that Ronnie Coleman will be present at the contest on March 6, 2026.

He will be there at 3:30 pm in the Short North Ballroom in the Columbus Convention Center. Besides watching the contest, Coleman will also interact with fans, who will have the opportunity to click photos with the legend. Up to 4 attendees per photo will be allowed; no expo ticket will be taken.
