“Once I set my mind to something, I can’t let go until I’m the best at it. That’s how I got obsessed with bodybuilding,” 3x Mr. Olympia winner Ryan Terry revealed in October during his conversation with Gulf News. Now, it appears the Briton has set his sights on securing a fourth title.
After his remarkable 2025 Men’s Physique victory, securing his third Olympia title, Ryan Terry is all set for 2026. He took to Instagram to share several photos of himself, accompanied by a caption that read, “HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS.”
He further added, “Hope you all had a good start to the 2026 new year, but the same goals for me… more time with the family, grow current business ventures, and win my fourth Olympia title.”
Winning his third consecutive title was something different for the Briton. According to him, this cemented his legacy in the sport, one that will live on for years to come. “I don’t know why, but this third title means so much more than the first and second,” he said in his conversation with Gulf News.
His bodybuilding journey really took off in 2010 when he won the Great Britain contest at just 21 years old. Since then, he never looked back; however, his reign of dominance was not without any challenges. In his initial Mr Olympia years, he faced setbacks due to limited participation.
But despite that, he built his legacy with his 2025 victory. “I called it my ‘legacy prep,’ and that word really stuck; everyone got behind it. When I won this time, it felt like I’d finally cemented my place in bodybuilding.”
Sure, he plans for another title next year, but what happens after that? Let’s hear it from the man himself.
“I’ll disappear,” said Ryan Terry, on his plans
Winning back-to-back Men’s Physique championships, Ryan Terry is looking at another title next year. However, after that, he plans to take a step back to enjoy his life and shift his focus toward his businesses.
“There’s one more big goal, to go down as the greatest Men’s Physique athlete ever,” said Terry in his conversation with the Gulf News.
He further added, “Jeremy Buendia has four titles, so I want to match him next year and hopefully surpass him with five. Then I’ll disappear into the sunset.”
Apart from his bodybuilding career, Terry is the owner of RT Fit Gym, located in Retford, Nottinghamshire, England. The gym offers coaching and diet-planning services to clients, and he plans to introduce merchandise soon.
