Samson Dauda Reveals Off-Season Plans and Target Weight for Mr. Olympia 2026: “Fat and Water”

For pro athletes Off-season training is often where the real transformation happens . Samson Dauda clearly understands that. During a recent weigh-in, he “broke the scale,” surprising even himself with how heavy he has become. But instead of slowing down, he plans to push that number even higher in the coming months.

The question now is: how far is he willing to go to build his biggest package yet for the 2026 Mr. Olympia?

Is Dauda planning to touch 350 Punds?

Recently, Dauda traveled to Alicante, Spain, where he sat down with Beyond the Stage TV for a candid interview about his off-season strategy. When the interviewer brought up the fan excitement around his weight updates and asked, “What do you think you can get up to on your way to the offseason?” Dauda didn’t hold back.

He explained that the goal is to reach about 10 kilos more than he has ever weighed, which translates to over 20 pounds. But he made something very clear: the increase only matters if his body can handle it. As he put it, adding weight for the sake of the number is pointless, because otherwise it becomes nothing but “fat and water.” His plan is to climb slowly, track each jump, and keep pushing upward as long as his body responds well.

The interviewer followed up by asking, “What’s the magic number?” Dauda revealed: “I’m thinking close to 160 kilos… around 350 pounds.”

It’s a massive number, even for an elite open-class competitor, and signals that Dauda is fully committed to bringing a dramatically larger physique to the Olympia stage.

Fat and water naturally rise during weight gain phases, but controlled increases allow bodybuilders to train heavier, recover faster, and support new muscle growth. The off-season diet shifts toward higher calories, more carbs, and strategic nutrient timing Dauda knows it. If he hits that 160-kilo target while staying in control, the 2026 Olympia lineup may look very different.

Is he going to achieve this target? Comment your thoughts in the comments section.
