Shaun Clarida Spotted Feasting On McDonald's Burger After Winning China Pro Championship at 212 lbs
Two-time 212 Mr. Olympia Shaun 'The Giant Killer' Clarida won the 212 lbs and open category at Huanji China Pro on December 14. And his celebration took him straight to McDonald's.
An Instagram by @king.iks_ showed Clarida, celebrating this achievement with a Macpuff. “First meal after after winning China Pro? Chicken sandwich," said Clarida before biting down.
However, Shaun Clarida didn't just stop at a burger. The two-divison champion went for the whole meal with McDonald's signature fries and a cold drink.
Then again, it's no surprise seeing the former 212 Mr. Olympia clebrating with some high-calorie fast food. After all, cutting weight before a competition doesn't get any easier with experience. However, competing in two different weight classes in the same contest is something Clarida wants to do again.
The former champion is not only aiming to regain his 212 title but also take a shot at the Open Mr. Olympia title in 2026. But is that even a good idea? 4x Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler had his doubts.
Cutler weighs in on The Giant Killer's thought
On an episode of Jaywalking, Cutler expressed doubt whether the IFBB would allow Clarida to compete in the two competitions. Noting that David Henry did it during his time with Muscle Tech, Cutler moved on to the real problem.
“Dude, you’re peaking for two shows in two different days. You’re depleted, you’re dehydrated. I don’t know how that would work," said the former Mr. Olympia.
While Shaun Clarida has already competed in multiple divisions twice sthis years, first in the Japan Pro 2025 and now in the Huanji China Pro, the competition at the Mr. Olympia will be far tougher.
The last time Clarida competed in the Open category against the Olympia competition at the 2023 Arnold Classic, he finished fifth behind Samson Dauda, Nick Walker, Andrew Jacked, and Big Ramy. So it'll be interesting to see where Clarida lands if he does compete in both divisions come 2026.
