34-Year-Old Tonio Burton Confirms His Appearance at the 2027 Arnold Classic
For Tonio Burton, 2026 has been a wonderful year. He not only earned the title at the IFBB New York Pro on May 9 but also won the Legion Sports Fest Pro in Reno.
Now, he has revealed that he is eyeing participation in the 2027 Arnold Classic.
On June 8, BTS TV shared an Instagram post confirming the bodybuilder’s participation in the Arnold Classic. The post was captioned,
“We might be 15.5 weeks out from the Olympia, but that has not stopped @tonio_burton looking ahead to 2027, where on his IG Story, the New York Pro & Legion Sport Festival winner confirmed that he will compete at next year's Arnold Classic.
Tonio couldn't compete this year due to the tragic loss of his mother, but the loss did not stop him from stepping back on stage, securing two wins and a second place in 2026.”
The post also added,
“The goal is Top 5 at the Olympia, and with all of last year's Top 6 already confirmed (Nick yet to qualify, but you would bet your house on that happening at Tampa), Tonio will either need some of the Top 6 to slip or we will need to see Tonio bring something that we have never seen him bring before that would make him undeniable.”
Burton has improved his spot in the Open division's Olympia finals by 8 places since switching over from the 212 division in 2022.
Burton not only declared his participation in the 2027 Arnold Classic but also follows an intense training regimen on a daily basis.
