Titan O’Hearn Trains in Taekwondo After a Heavyweight Training Session
Titan O’Hearn, son of bodybuilding and fitness icon Mike O’Hearn, is already following in his father's footsteps. At just 7 years, Titan is heavily involved in martial arts, athletic training, and strength training.
His recent Instagram post, captioned, “TKD practice with @cezargalvao_taekwondo just after my weight training today. Off to judo practice now 💪🏻,” features an interesting carousel. The pictures and videos show Titan practising Taekwondo moves with Brazilian taekwondo master Cezar Galvao Nascimento.
In the video, Titan is performing high roundhouse kicks and high hook kick variations, along with split stretches. The fact that he is so geared up and enthusiastic about Taekwondo training right after a weight training session, to be followed by Judo practice, is inspiring.
Despite his age, Titan has already been involved in age-appropriate strength training sessions under the guidance of Mike O’Hearn, his father. The duo often trains together, building their flexibility, discipline, coordination, and athleticism.
Titan’s early entry into the world of athletics is no coincidence. His father also began his strength training journey very early, carrying that passion throughout his life.
Mike O’Hearn’s Early Start Inspired Titan’s Athletic Journey
According to Men’s Health magazine, Mike O’Hearn began training at the age of 9, just a few years older than his son is now. By the time he was 14, he had already built enough strength, power, and a physique that could scare away most young people his age.
Mike shares how he began his journey when he felt at his lowest in life. He understood the value of training and becoming strong very early on in life.
“It mattered more to train when I was sad, depressed, [had] no money, or [when] life just felt like it knocked me down,” he said in an Instagram post.
“It’s more important to train at that point than at any other time. I was nine years old when I understood this.”
Furthermore, he shares how entering the world of fitness helped not only his physical health but also his mental health. His goal initially was not to build a massively ripped physique, but to become mentally stronger.
After nearly 5 decades of training, Mike is set to pass on his values and strength training tips to his young son, Titan. It looks like Titan is not far behind his father in this aspect.
