Toney Freeman admits using sleep supplements at 59- "shut everything off”

Toney Freeman has found his way to sleep better, and he doesn't mind taking in a few permitted foreign agents to help his cause.
Freeman, now 59, appeared on the January 30 episode of the Muscle & Strength podcast where he revealed that a few supplements help him with his sleep. But while Freeman admitted using recovery and relaxation supplements like "magnesium glycinate, melatonin" and "regular glycine," he doesn't depend on them entirely for his sleep.
He explained in the podcast that, when people go to sleep, they “get into bed and they scroll or watch TV.” He highlighted how he differs from them, saying, “When I'm ready to go to sleep, I just shut everything off.”

Freeman also disclosed that sleeps with a "mask" on that has "speakers." He plays “some ambient noise or some kind of frequency noise" in them which helps him get a fulfilling sleep at night.
The 59-year-old also stressed on replacing the white light after sunset with red bulbs to achieve good sleep, but he is far from being the only one who values sleep so much.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Phil Health on the Importance of Sleep
Arnold Schwarzenegger, aka “The Austrian Oak,” once told journalist Greg Merritt of Muscle & Fitness that he “always made sure” he “got at least eight hours of sleep each night and often more like nine or 10.” He continued by saying, “I thought of sleep or even just rest as growing time, and, as the name suggests, that time is crucial to bodybuilding success.”
Phil Heath also once admitted that he “neglected the importance of sleep”. He continued by saying, “I thought the 'I'll sleep when I'm dead' mindset would get me further, faster. I couldn't have been more wrong. Lack of sleep hindered my recovery and growth.”
