After bagging the top spot in the Men's Classic Physique division of the 2026 Arnold Classic, Wesley Vissers once again made history on March 14 in Detroit, Michigan.

The Dutch bodybuilder took home the title of 2026 Detroit Pro in the Classic Physique division by defeating Ethan Gohari, who finished sixth at the 2026 Arnold Classic.

Following his victory, Vissers took to Instagram to express his gratefulness towards his fans and the Detroit "atmosphere." The caption to his post read, "King of Detroit. Thank you, Detroit, you were amazing. The show, the people, the atmosphere... incredible. My bodybuilding passion has been lit up higher than ever before. We enjoy this victory and then onto the next."

In the 2025 Detroit Pro, Vissers came 2nd behind Matthew Greggo. However, he gave Greggo a tough fight, but eventually lost by just a point.

Since then, Vissers intensified his training, and on January 18, he admitted to changing his training routine for the 2026 Arnold Classic. And clearly, that routine has paid off.

However, the last line of his caption implied that he doesn't want to stop. So, what will be his next destination?

Where Will Wesley Vissers Compete Next?

After winning the 2026 Detroit Pro, Vissers earned a direct ticket to the 2026 Mr. Olympia, but before that, the 32-year-old bodybuilder will compete at the 2026 Arnold Classic UK. This time, he will be up against several strong contenders, including Mike Sommerfeld.

On March 25, the Instagram account of Arnold Classic UK posted an update about the event with the caption, “2026 Arnold Classic Physique champion @wesleyvissers will go head-to-head with 2025 champion @miketheb***** at the 2026 Arnold Classic UK."

Two of the best in the world meet on the Birmingham stage as the Classic Physique title is on the line once again! March 27–29 at the NEC. Don’t miss this epic battle live!”

Sommerfeld, one of the favourites to win the 2026 Arnold Classic, could not make weight for the Classic Physique division during the official check-in. As a result, he had to return home without competing.

Not only that, according to Yousef Mahmoud, Mike also missed the Detroit Pro deadline by 2 hours. And ironically, both competitions were won by Vissers.

Now, it will be interesting to see if Vissers can continue his winning streak, even while going head-to-head with Sommerfeld.

But, do you think the Dutch muscleman will be able to defeat Sommerfeld if they meet on the stage?
