When Arnold Schwarzenegger Forgave His Attacker and Refused To Press Charges

On May 18, 2019, during his trip to Johannesburg for the Arnold Classic Africa, Arnold Schwarzenegger was nearly knocked down by a random attacker while casually greeting fans. However, his response surprised many.
Schwarzenegger was filming a Snapchat video at the Sandton Convention Centre when a random man breached the security and kicked him in the back in front of everyone.
The kick barely moved the Terminator, and security stepped in to apprehend the assailant. In the video, the man can be heard shouting, “Help me, please. I need a Lamborghini.” However, true to his character, Arnold later said he would not press charges against the young man, adding, “I’m moving on.”
Taking to his X handle, Arnold clarified that he was fine. “Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot," wrote Arnie.
"I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video, like all of you. I'm just glad the idiot didn't interrupt my Snapchat," he joked.
Later that day, Arnold took to his social media to share his day interacting with cheetahs, lions, and other big cats. The video made the rounds on social media, so much so that even Joe Rogan had to talk about it.
Joe Rogan's hilarious opinion on the Arnold Schwarzenegger incident
While speaking with Michael Malice on #JRE 1300, the UFC color commentator addressed the fiasco.
“What’s the worst? You got drop-kicked with poor technique. Okay, I want to say the kid had no follow-through, right? Right," said the podcast host, joking.
He even praised Arnie's toughness, as he made the telegraphed drop kick look like a minor inconvenience.
"Even though Arnold Schwarzenegger is 71 years old, he’s still a 71-year-old Arnold. Of course, he’s still a tank. But I mean, he didn’t even fall over," added Rogan.
Authorities never fully clarified it, but they stated that he had a record of orchestrating similar attacks in the past.
