In simple words, creatine is a form of compound that comes from three amino acids. It can be derived from both food and by directly taking supplementation, but the highest amount of it can be found in seafood. Creatine helps create a steady supply of energy in your muscles so they can keep working, especially when you are exercising.

One-half of the creatine comes from the liver, and the other half we consume from food. But these days, most of the creatine people use is in the form of supplements, especially if they are vegan, because you might not get enough creatine from a vegetarian diet.

Now there is are plethora of options available in the market, and it is difficult to choose one just by scanning through the content written on labels.

The Right Way To Choose Your Next Best Creatine

So there are 6 types of creatines which are available in the market

1. Creatine Monohydrate: This one tops the list because it's the most researched creatine and is widely used. It contains creatine and water molecules and has 90% of creatine by weight. It comes in two variants. Variants one is micronized (better solubility), and the other is anhydrous (100% creatine by weight). It is highly recommended by fitness experts due to its solubility and safety.

2. Creatine Ethyl Ester (CEE): This one has qualities like better absorption compared to monohydrate, but it is not that effective on the body and doesn't show any results either.

3. Creatine Hydrochloride (HCl): It comes with a higher solubility, but no effective absorption in the body is seen with it. Major studies are yet to be done on it

4. Buffered Creatine: It comes with an alkaline compound, which increases stability. Surprisingly, strength and power gains were similar to creatine monohydrate.

5. Liquid Creatine: This one is a pre-dissolved creatine and is sold in a ready-to-drink form. It has less effectiveness as compared to powdered creatine.

6. Creatine Magnesium Chelate (CMC): It has very limited research as of now, as compared to creatine monohydrate also has less effectiveness

You might get a major understanding now of the types of creatine. From the conclusion, it is evident that Creatine Monohydrate is the most researched and effective protein in the market. Now, let's look at the certification we need to look for before buying one.
