A viral moment at a comedy show revealed a heartfelt confession from bodybuilder Valentina Mishina. The 3x Olympian told comedian Max Amini his content saved her life during a dark time. The exchange has since gained widespread attention online.

It started as Amini interacted with the crowd and found Valentina. “You're a bodybuilder? That's awesome! What's your name, bodybuilder?”

However, the watershed moment came when the bodybuilder Valentina Mishina shared her journey and told Amini, “You saved my life”.

It all went to COVID. While Mishina had been competing in Mr. Olympia, it became a matter of survival during COVID. And while the Russian athlete was struggling with the immigration process. Amidst all of this, she found Amini's content to be something that carried her through.

She said, “Can I say, because maybe someone agrees, you saved my life because I was in a very dark time with big depression, I didn't know why am I waking up because I lost my passion”.

Despite her strong understanding of the country and language, she connected with Amini's humor, which made her laugh, feel calm, and relax.

She said, “It helped me so much to go through immigration. Thank you.”

Mishina's confession was a crucial moment in the fitness community, as professionals take up healthier conversations about mental health.

Chris Bumstead also shared that with support from family and friends, it is possible to overcome mental issues.

During his appearance at Raw Nutrition’s Bumstead said, “Learning how to actually express those emotions by myself and…not feeling like I needed to handle them by myself but being able to lean on my relationship, people that I trust, is probably the biggest mental health hack that I’ve ever had”.

Mental health issues are now very common, not only in the bodybuilding community but also among the general public. So, as the Canadian bodybuilder said, ask for help and reach out to your friends and family.
