A'ja Wilson’s Diet and Nutrition Play To Stay Fit Beyond The WNBA Court

A'ja Wilson is a force to be reckoned with on the court. But what is the fuel to the superstar's fitness?
According to Wilson, her secret to winning the MVP award four times is a balanced diet, hydration, and a few chicken wings here and there.
Speaking to Women's Health magazine, Wilson said, "Being a professional athlete, I train probably six out of seven days a week. I play every other day. And so fueling my body is very important.
Wilson believes that striking a balance between nutritious foods is what helps her dominate on court. Although her serious love for sweets, especially strawberry shortcakes, is a huge part of her life, she still makes sure to eat vegetables, proteins, and fruits too.

According to Wilson, balancing your diet with supplements and a good night's sleep is key to a healthy body.
So, what does A'ja Wilson typically eat in a day?
Breakfast
The Las Vegas Aces star starts her day with anything that has syrup and something that has a sufficient amount of protein, like turkey bacon. She avoids two of the most common breakfast items in the world, coffee and eggs.
Lunch
When it's time for lunch, Wilson goes for something filling like a sandwich, wrap, or burrito, and washes it down with a healthy juice or a smoothie that has banana, honey, pineapple, spinach, and mango.
Dinner
She ends her day with a 'grub,' and with a chef at her disposal, she doesn't have to worry about missing any nutrients. Whatever she missed during the day, her chef makes sure to include it in her dinner.

Since she doesn't want anything heavy, her dinner usually includes a grilled or fried chicken breast, with some green leaf vegetables and carbs. If it's not this, then she enjoys some pasta.
Besides following her daily diet routine, Wilson loves to snack. Be it Gatorade, electrolytes, granola, or protein bars, these snacks help her fight fatigue during long training sessions. Her cheat snacks after training are baked chips and fruit bars.
And since she is an athlete and exerts herself constantly, she ensures to stay hydrated with only the good stuff like water and her favorite apple juice, and never alcohol.
Since every athlete needs a pregame meal, Wilson has chosen some delicious ones like a chicken Ceaser salad wrap or a burrito.
As for her postgame meals, she reenergizes herself with chicken breasts and broccoli or asparagus.
