Alex Pereira Drops Latest Training Footage for the Heavyweight Title Clash at UFC White House
Alex Pereira is chasing combat heavyweight glory. New training footage shows the Brazilian star preparing for a June 14 heavyweight clash against Ciryl Gane. A victory would make him the first three-division champion in UFC history.
On April 23, 'Poatan' uploaded his latest update, in which he is seen hitting the pads with former UFC champ Glover Teixeira.
Pereira is seen unloading on longtime coach and mentor Teixeira against a gym wall, practicing his combos. He captioned the post, "Chama."
Pereira has established himself as a prolific knockout artist in his UFC career. He has knockout wins over some of the best light-heavyweight and middleweight strikers in the promotion, like Sean Strickland, Khalil Rountree Jr., Israel Adesanya, and more.
Pereira is now eager to add one more belt to his collection as he gears up to meet Gane in the most anticipated UFC White House card, which is supposed to create history.
Ciryl Gane Brings In Alex Pereira’s Former Rival
Alex Pereira is the favorite to win the UFC heavyweight title over Cyril Gane. However, Gane is making every effort to counter the former light-heavyweight champion's fighting style.
Gane is working with a fighter who’s very familiar with Pereira ahead of UFC White House and has met him twice inside the ring.
Some sparring footage featuring Gane and Pereira’s former kickboxing rival, Artem Vakhitov, was shared by Andrey Busygin. In fact, Vakhitov was the last man to beat Pereira in kickboxing before he came to the UFC.
Of the two times Alex Pereira and Vakhitov faced off, the Brazilian won via split decision. However, Artem Vakhitov avenged his loss and regained his Glory Kickboxing title in their second bout.
