Anthony Joshua's strength training workout ahead of the July 25 Jeddah fight

Two-time unified heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua is gearing up for his July 25 fight in Jeddah against Kristian Prenga. The Olympic gold medal winner reigns among boxing’s biggest stars, known for his explosive strength and knockout power.

On Saturday, RTF Gym in Gandia shared an Instagram post of Joshua's intense training session there. From boxing drills to agility, speed, and movement drills, he leaves no stone unturned. The boxing star also engages in medicine ball slams, which enhance his explosive full-body power and increase punching power.

He also performed exercises like plate-loaded belt squats, weighted standing calf raises, and banded acceleration sprints, which are popular among boxers and field athletes.

The caption to the post read: "Anthony Joshua @anthonyjoshua is hard at work preparing for his next fight here at our gym. With just two weeks to go until fight night, we’ll see AJ back in action on July 25 in Jeddah."

It highlights the intense hard work that goes into creating an elite athlete's signature strength and power.

His last fight was nearly seven months ago on December 19, 2025. Fans fondly remember Joshua knocking out Jake Paul during the sixth round of their fight in Miami, improving his professional record to 29-4.

With yet another high-stakes fight just around the corner, Joshua has ensured to leave no stone unturned in his preparation. His decorated career offers us plenty of insights into the elite mindset behind his relentless training.

A look back at Anthony Joshua’s greatest career achievements

As Anthony Joshua gears up for his next comeback bout, let us reflect on the biggest wins that built the champion.

Joshua had established himself as one of the biggest and most defining heavyweight boxers of his generation. Some of his biggest victories include those over Andy Ruiz Jr. (rematch), Alexander Povetkin, Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko, and Joseph Parker.

Besides headlining multiple stadium events, he witnessed a record-breaking crowd of over 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium on April 29, 2017, during his fight against Klitschko.

Furthermore, Joshua won his first 22 professional bouts, with 21 of them coming by knockout. Not just that, Joshua was once appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to boxing (2013).

In July 2019, he also avenged his upset loss to Andy Ruiz Jr. earlier that year, finally reclaiming the IBO, WBO, WBA, and IBF belts. Furthermore, he defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 to win the classic heavyweight bout, unifying the IBF and WBA titles.

He also captured his first world title after defeating Charles Martin.

Finally, he is most well-known for winning the gold medal in the superweight division at the London Olympics.
